I am a member of Economics Department of Kadir Has University. My current research focuses the regional inequalites, the West-East divide, industry location and railroads during the twentieth century. Besides, I am working with World Wildlife Fund-Turkey on a project regarding the drivers of the farmer’s adoption of local wheat seeds. Also, I am consulting World Bank with a project on labor market participation and entrepreneurship of Syrian migrants.
I am interested in the social science applications of the state-of-the-art computational methods in statistical programming, data visualization, text mining and spatial analysis.
